Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)

Will adhere to Excellence in Athletics standards and expectations and operate as an integral part of the North High School Track Program
Promote the entire athletic program and adhere to the philosophies and policies and Wood Intermediate
Must possess an enthusiastic attitude and ability to understanding intermediate age boys and girls in an athletic setting
Supervise players at all practices and games as well as in the locker room and on the bus
Monitor and enforce district academic standards and policies
Responsible for maintaining all track equipment
Work in cooperation with the Director of Athletics for the Davenport Community Schools and in cooperation with the Activity Director at Wood Intermediate
Must be willing to support and implement Davenport’s multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.
Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.

Must possess a valid Iowa coaching endorsement
Must be available for evenings
Must have completed NFHS online Concussion Course
